Silly Girl!

Lexi is usually sort of an eeyore, very solemn and serious. But when she does get the sillies, it's so cute! She loves walking around without pants (we call her Penny Pantsless), and twirling. Boy does she love twirling! I think I could honestly say she spends a solid 40% of her day in a spin. Ive tried a couple of times to get some video of her twirling, but everytime she sees the camera, she stops. I did get a few still shots, though. Enjoy!

Sick Day.

Lexi had a bit of a stomach bug, which was no fun for her, and even less fun for me to manage her vomit. But she loves getting her picture taken, so I took a few shots to boost her spirits. Luckily she was only sick for a day, and up and going by the next morning. As you can see, Doodlebops were the only thing that got her motivated to get up and try to move around/dance.

Daddy's Girl

I used to be able to boast that Mommy was definately Lexi's favorite parent. However, lately, she's becoming quite the daddy's girl. Maybe it's because she's stuck with me all day, and Wayne gets to come home and be fun for 2-3 hours. Either way, if mommy does something, it's lame. If daddy does the exact same thing, it's suddenly the COOLEST! Even bedtime is better if daddy's there, hense the pictures. Oh well. I know I'll win her back when she get to her teenage years. Nobody shops like Mommy!

My Little RockStar!

There are awesome pictures. Alexis wanted to play with my head-phone. I was shocked to see her put them on because she never likes things on her head. She is so adorable! I added an awesome song to go along with these pictures.

Cochlear Implant

...They sedated her and we were watching as the audiologist used all kinds of instruments to test Alexis's ability to hear. I knew something was wrong when the audiologist kept checking to ensure all the cords were securely fastened. He was getting no response...Alexis was deaf. The official term..Profound Hearing Loss. I explaining it to people that Alexis's may hear a Jet Engine within 5 feet.

Alexis had her Cochlear implant implanted at Primary Childrens Hospital in Salt Liake City on Decemeber 1st 2007. Dr. Shelton was the ENT that surgically implanted the Nucleas Freedom by Cochlear (learn more). Alexis has now been wearing her cochlear implant "her ear" for 8 months. She is babbling more and making more and more sound each day. We are hopeful that she will start talking soon. I can't wait until I hear "daddy".
